In any case, Alex celebrated his 31st birthday on the 15th and I have been wanting to take a few minutes to honor him here. I could gush for hours, but it's a little harder to put into words exactly what he means to me...
Alex puts me first in all that he does. He thinks of me always, goes out of his way to make things easier for me, and sacrifices himself or his desires for the good of mine before all else.
Tangibly, this translates to cooking dinner several times a week (namely anything chicken these days), getting up to retrieve for X item (water/cough drops/snacks) upon request, allll the errands, and the list goes on.
Sure, everyone loves their husband and thinks they're the best in the world, but I 100% believe it over here. We're perfect for each other, and I am so glad he's in my life.
And for this, I am thankful.
